The small Franco-Greek team of the Mediterranean Environmental Center has been working for over 30 years with local communities in rural Greece to protect and promote the environment and cultural heritage of this beautiful country. Gradually, it became clear to us that responsible tourism, which respects these communities and their way of life, can contribute to the preservation of their populations and certain professions.
On the other hand, visitor demand has evolved towards a form of tourism which offers the opportunity to meet Greeks and deeply explore areas that have remained authentic.
Thus, we gathered our friends—small tourism service providers, agricultural producers, members of associations working to enhance their regions, enthusiasts eager to share their knowledge of their village or island—and organized them into a tourism offering of informal holidays to help you discover the Greece we love.
